COLOURFIX PAPERS & BOARDS
- Colourfix Papers & Boards
Art Spectrum Colourfix™ Papers and boards are acid-free, hot pressed watercolour surfaces screen printed with Art Spectrum Colourfix™ Primer. They provide an excellent surface for dry media such as soft pastels, PanPastel®, charcoal and pencils as well as being suitable for acrylics, oils, inks, oil pastels, gouache and watercolour. The natural toothy surface will hold multiple layers of pastel without the need for fixative. Areas can also be over-painted or touched up with Colourfix Primer. The acrylic base of the Primer causes the primed surface to be waterproof so Colourfix Papers and Boards can even be washed!
For those that require a highly aggressive tooth, Supertooth Museum Board is the perfect surface. The Supertooth surface is approximately twice as coarse as standard Colourfix paper and is printed on a heavier substrate.
Art Spectrum Colourfix™ Primer is a fine tooth, quick drying acrylic primer which bonds aggressively to practically any clean, dry surface - all types of papers (300 gsm or heavier recommended), canvas, card, ply, plastic, glass, timber, ceramic and metal. Art Spectrum Colourfix™ Primer can be applied with brushes, sponges, rollers etc. straight from the pot. Twenty colours are available, including Natural (Clear). All colours can be intermixed. The Clear Colourfix™ Primer allows the natural surface or underlying colours to remain visible, whilst providing extra tooth for more overlays. All colours are available in 250 ml jars, and Black, White and Clear are also available in a 1 Liter jar. All colours are lightfast.
